Shawl Collar Wrap Cardi is done...
and I love it!
I finished it last weekend, including finding a pin for the closure, instead of the suggested suede. Ilona and Josie came over on Saturday night to watch what ended p being a horrible movie (Just Friends). It had one good line, in the whole thing. It wasn't even in the so-bad-its-good category, it was just plain bad. However, some good knitting time was had, and Ilona fulfilled her blog minion role by taking sweater pics for me - thanks, Ilona!
Here's a better picture of the pin I'm using to close it - I decided I wanted to use a pin both so I wouldn't have to sew a ribbon or suede tie in, and so that I can adjust it more easily as I lose more weight. I dropped by Nordstrom Rack to look, and found this - it was more expensive than I had been hoping for, but it's so perfect, I had to get it:
In other news, I won Bron's Keyhole Top drawing - how exciting. I just love the colors of the top, and I can't wait to try it on. Now I have to take a look in my stash and see what I have that's wool free and might be worth sending her in exchange.
Okay, lunch time now... in my next update: Purl Necklaces, Bellevue, and a partial sock.
